The village of Jatun
Molino is on a curve of the Rio Bobonaza, between Sirayacu and Montalvo
in the Amazon basin of Ecuador, a 30-40 minute flight from Puyo or 10-12
hours by dugout. Only about 100 people live in the village, and many of
those residents are children. Houses are usually built on poles with thatched
roofs and open sides to allow maximum ventillation in the steamy heat
of the tropics.
