Most of the transportation in and out of the village is done by dugout. Each of these dugouts in Jatun Molino is made from one tree and carved by hand. The dugouts are propelled by poling most of the time, but a few dugouts are also equipped with outboard motors for longer trips. There is a small dirt airstrip on the hill above the village, but the cost of flights is prohibitive for most.
